What was your path to becoming a therapist? What inspired you to choose this profession?
Before becoming a therapist, I worked at an organization I co-founded with other artists, musicians, writers, and activists called Home Alive (teachhomealive.org). I developed self defense and boundary setting curricula rooted in anti-oppression, social change and community healing. After handing off the organization to the next generation, I depended my healing journey in becoming a therapist grounded in family and social systems, embodied healing and social justice.

Work HistoryMy approach to therapy is embodied, which means we will work together to explore ways to connect and integrate your physical body among other aspects of you and your experience into any healing work we do together. My goal is to collaborate and meet you where you are at and support you and your process.
My healing approach integrates an embodied framework and somatic practices. This can look very different for different people in different contexts. I believe there is no one single or right way to engage in embodied healing work. We will collaborate as part of our work together to find ways to embody healing that meet you where you are at and support you and your process.
My theoretical orientation looks not only at individual experiences when helping people meet their goals and needs for therapy, but also the interpersonal, social, and political context that inform, recent, past, intergenerational, and current experiences.
