What would be important for someone to know about working with you?
My work is collaborative and lead with curiosity, empathy, and humor. I pull from multiple evidence based models, such as CBT and EMDR, with a focus on psychodynamic theory, but have found that the most important tool in therapy is the relationship between the client and therapist itself!
In what ways do your life philosophy and treatment philosophy overlap?
I am a trauma informed, anti-oppressive, and queer-allied therapist. I lead with these values inside and outside of the therapeutic space.
What does success look like in therapy? How will a client know that they are making progress?
Success in therapy look different for every person. My goal is that you gain an understanding of yourself and how to manage things like unhelpful thoughts, reactivity, and relationship stress with more ease. You'll learn how your thoughts and feelings impact your mood, how your past may be impacting your present, and how to navigate challenges differently. Ultimately, you will know you have made progress when you notice small shifts in your self-awareness, self-treatment, or feeling a deeper sense of connection to yourself.

Work HistoryI specialize in working with adults who struggle with symptoms of anxiety, depression, and trauma. Often clients and I learn together that their experiences with anxiety and depression, stress in their relationships, and lack of motivation in their life, stem from deeper-seeded traumas that have been misunderstood and unhealed.
I've had a career in social work for over a decade, focusing on a few different areas of expertise before settling into an individual psychotherapist role over five years ago. I have worked with individuals with intellectual and development disabilities, children and adults in the foster care system, and those living with severe mental illness. All of these experiences have given me a breadth of knowledge in the human experience, and a better understanding that one-on-one, individual therapy is where I am meant to be.
