Get To Know Me
What is your style/approach to therapy?
My approach is based on compassion, understanding, and non-judgment. This means I don't label any thoughts, feelings, or behaviors my clients have as 'good' or 'bad'. I instead focus on whether the client wants to change and how to implement change in a way that works for them.
What do you think is the biggest barrier today for people seeking care?
I think one of the biggest barriers for people seeking care is the fear of how they may perceived within the sessions and by others. I foster an environment where we can focus on the function and impact of your behaviors, thoughts, and emotions.
What does a first session with you look like?
The first session is essentially getting to know you, the specifics about what you're needing help with, and gauging what you're comfortable discussing (i.e., a certain period in your life, certain people in your life, etc.).
