How do you determine therapy goals with clients? What does that process look like?
Developing goals for our work together is a process that starts from the very initial phone call. I take a depth approach in working with clients, so I tailor treatment to your individual needs. What you want to get out of this work is what the target goal is. You determine how deeply you want to go and how much you want to invest in the process based on your present needs at this time in your life.
Are there any recurring themes or issues you’ve noticed as you treat people in your area of specialization, and how has this insight guided your approach?
I have seen a number of recurrent themes in working with different people throughout the years. The main ones which have impacted me and led to my own interest in practicing depth therapy have been: the desire for a true connection to and understanding of the Self, a need for purpose in one's life, and the search of meaning and ways to lead a more meaningful life.
What is your style/approach to therapy?
I enjoy working with individuals from a depth perspective. Utilizing Jungian principles, I invite you to become more connected with your unconscious and know your Self on a deeper and more authentic level. I am drawn to this approach because I have seen its benefits in promoting lasting positive changes in peoples' lives.
