Get To Know Me
What would be important for someone to know about working with you?
What I think is most important to know about working with me is that I see therapy as a very human experience. I do not see myself as the expert on your life, but rather as someone who is here to sit with you, listen deeply, and walk alongside you as you figure out what feels right for you. I try to create a space where you can be yourself without judgment, where you feel safe to share the hard things as well as celebrate the moments of growth. My approach is collaborative and down to earth, and I believe that real change happens through genuine connection and conversation.
In what ways have your personal experiences influenced your work with your clients?
My own journey has deeply influenced the way I show up as a therapist. I am in recovery and have also experienced ADHD, depression, and anxiety, so I understand on a personal level how overwhelming and isolating these challenges can feel. These experiences allow me to connect with clients from a very human place, not just from a clinical perspective. I know that healing is not linear and that progress often comes with setbacks, and I bring that understanding into the work we do together. My goal is to create a space where clients feel safe, supported, and understood as their whole selves.

Education
Regis University, Master of Arts, Counseling, 2021 — I received my education from Regis University, a Jesuit institution that emphasizes values such as reflection, service, and care for the whole person. These principles continue to shape my approach as a therapist, guiding me to support clients with compassion, integrity, and respect for their unique lived experiences.
University of North Texas, Bachelor of Arts, Psychology, 2006
Work HistoryOver the years I have had the privilege of working with individuals facing a wide range of challenges, from anxiety and depression to relationship struggles, trauma, and substance use. I began my work in community mental health where I supported clients from diverse backgrounds and learned the importance of meeting people exactly where they are. That experience helped me grow comfortable walking with clients through crisis and supporting them in finding stability and a sense of safety.
From there I built on those skills by working with people navigating life transitions, grief, and ongoing patterns that felt difficult to change. My work has also included supporting individuals in recovery where I witnessed firsthand the strength it takes to rebuild trust in oneself and others.
Now in private practice I bring together all of these experiences to offer therapy that is compassionate, practical, and collaborative. My specialties developed through years of sitting with clients who trusted me with their stories and together we found ways to make real change whether that meant learning new coping strategies, setting healthier boundaries, or simply feeling less alone.
