Education
Adams State University, Master of Professional Counseling, Counseling, 2020 — Welcome—I'm David Rothman, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) specializing in helping individuals and couples navigate the emotional landscape of relationships, attachment, and personal healing. I believe that real change becomes possible when we feel safe, supported, and understood. Whether you’re working to repair a relationship, make sense of recurring emotional patterns, or reconnect with yourself, you don’t have to do that work alone. For more than a decade, I’ve supported clients through relational disconnection, attachment wounds, substance-use–related challenges, and major life transitions. I integrate Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP), and psychodynamic approaches—modalities that center emotional safety, compassion, and the natural human capacity to heal. As both a therapist and a parent, I value closeness, vulnerability, and the courage it takes to show up authentically. These experiences shape my warm, steady therapeutic presence and help create a space where you can explore what feels tender or stuck without judgment. In therapy, we’ll slow down and pay attention to the deeper emotional and relational patterns influencing your daily life. Whether you’re rebuilding trust, navigating conflict, healing attachment injuries, or understanding the impact of substance use, we’ll work together to create new pathways toward connection, clarity, and resilience. Healing happens in relationship—and you don’t have to navigate it alone.
