What was your path to becoming a therapist? What inspired you to choose this profession?
My path to becoming a therapist was shaped by a deep desire to help others feel seen, heard, and supported—especially during life’s most challenging moments. From an early age, I was drawn to understanding people’s stories and how our experiences shape who we are. This curiosity grew into a passion for helping others navigate their struggles with compassion and care. During my education and early work experiences, I became especially interested in how anxiety, depression, and trauma impact people’s lives. I saw how isolating these experiences can be and how powerful it is when someone feels truly understood. My work in a non-profit trauma center solidified my commitment to this field. There, I had the opportunity to walk alongside individuals who were facing significant pain and life-altering experiences. Seeing their courage and resilience inspired me to continue learning and refining the tools I use to help others heal and thrive. I chose this profession because I believe that no one should have to face life’s difficulties alone. It’s an honor to provide a safe, supportive space where people can process their experiences, develop new coping strategies, and move toward a more meaningful, fulfilling life.
What does a first session with you look like?
A first session with me is all about getting to know you and creating a comfortable, supportive space where you can share your story at your own pace. I understand that starting therapy can feel intimidating, so I aim to make the process as welcoming and straightforward as possible. We’ll begin by talking about what brought you to therapy and any challenges you’re currently facing. I’ll ask questions to better understand your experiences, emotions, and goals—but there’s no pressure to share more than you’re ready to. This session is also a chance for you to ask questions, express any concerns, and get a sense of how I work. Together, we’ll explore what you hope to gain from therapy and start identifying practical steps to help you feel better. My goal is for you to leave the first session feeling heard, supported, and hopeful, with a clear understanding of how we’ll work together moving forward.
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
Clients can expect to leave sessions with me feeling heard, supported, and equipped with practical tools to navigate life’s challenges. My goal is to help you gain a deeper understanding of your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors while developing strategies to manage them more effectively. Through our work together, you’ll learn ways to cope with anxiety, reduce the weight of past experiences, and build resilience in the face of stress. I also focus on helping you clarify your values—what matters most to you—so you can make decisions and take actions that align with the life you want to create. Over time, you can expect to feel more in control of your emotions, more confident in handling difficult situations, and more connected to yourself and others. Whether you’re seeking relief from distressing symptoms or looking to create meaningful change, I am here to guide and support you every step of the way.

Work History
I’ve spent over nine years helping people navigate some of life’s most challenging moments. My work in a non-profit trauma center gave me extensive experience supporting individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, and overwhelming stress. During this time, I worked closely with people who had experienced a wide range of life-altering events, which deepened my understanding of how trauma affects both the mind and body. This experience also strengthened my ability to provide a compassionate, grounded approach while guiding clients through healing. I’ve received advanced training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)—both proven approaches that help people manage difficult emotions, process painful memories, and regain control over their lives. My work with clients struggling with OCD and social phobia has equipped me with specialized tools to help reduce intrusive thoughts, break free from avoidance, and build confidence in everyday situations. Through years of working with diverse clients, I’ve learned that healing looks different for everyone. My approach is tailored to meet you where you are—whether you’re facing long-standing challenges or adjusting to a major life change. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to build a life that feels meaningful and fulfilling
