Get To Know Me
What was your path to becoming a therapist? What inspired you to choose this profession?
My path into this field came from wanting to offer the kind of care that doesn’t get overlooked or pushed aside. As Gandhi said, “be the change you want to see,” and that mindset guided me here. After watching how easily people can fall through the cracks....and finding my own way back from that! I am committed to doing this work with clarity, follow-through, and respect.
My path here is shaped by living on the margins; poverty, gun violence, the kid who didn’t fit the mold, the teen whose identity wasn’t welcomed, the young adult who survived situations that changed my outlook on life. Those experiences taught me how easily people get overlooked and how important it is to have community, support, and to fall back on someone who listens and pays attention.
I became a therapist to offer care that is steady, grounded, consistent and authentic. I don’t shy away from complexity because I’ve lived through it and I bring that clarity into the work I do now.

Education
Naropa University, Master of Arts, Clinical Mental Health Counseling, 2024 — My graduate training at Naropa University’s Transpersonal Counseling program focused on contemplative practice, mindfulness, and understanding inner experience through a compassionate, grounded lens. I completed coursework in psychedelic-informed care and spent significant time studying meditation, maitri, and experiential approaches to healing. I also integrated creative work through Naropa’s art therapy offerings and my undergraduate art therapy minor, giving me multiple ways to support clients who process beyond traditional talk therapy.
Work HistoryI’ve spent the last decade working in a wide range of mental health settings. I’ve supported people in jail, worked with families going through reunification, and spent time with clients experiencing homelessness or living with disabilities. I’ve led groups, collaborated with art therapists, and worked in LGBTQ+ programs and school-based environments.
Across these roles, I learned how to stay steady in complex situations, listen without judgment, and meet people where they are. That experience shapes the practical, down-to-earth approach I use in therapy today.
