In what ways does your personality influence your approach to therapy?
I think my personality naturally shapes the way I show up as a therapist. I tend to be calm, warm, and relational, so I focus on creating a space where clients feel safe, accepted, and genuinely heard. I also tend to be curious and compassionate, which helps me explore clients' experiences without judgment while encouraging meaningful self-reflection.
At the same time, I'm practical and goal-oriented. While I value building a strong therapeutic relationship, I also like to help clients leave sessions with concrete insights or skills they can apply in their daily lives. I try to balance empathy with gentle accountability, meeting clients where they are while encouraging growth at a pace that feels manageable. Overall, I believe my personality helps me build trust, foster authenticity, and create an environment where clients feel supported as they work toward meaningful change.

Work HistoryBefore becoming a therapist, I worked in care management, where I helped children, adults, and families navigate complex systems, connect with community resources, and overcome barriers to receiving the support they needed. That experience taught me that healing doesn't happen in isolation, mental health is often connected to family relationships, school, work, physical health, and access to resources. It also helped me develop a practical, collaborative approach to helping people through difficult seasons.
As a therapist, I have worked with children, teens, adults, and families experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, grief, life transitions, relationship challenges, and family conflict. Much of my experience has been helping children and adolescents better understand their emotions, strengthen communication skills, build confidence, and develop healthy coping strategies. I also enjoy partnering with parents, providing practical tools that support progress both in and outside of therapy sessions.
Working across care management, school-based counseling, and outpatient therapy has given me the opportunity to support individuals from many different backgrounds and life experiences. These experiences have shaped my belief that every client deserves a safe, compassionate space where they feel heard and understood. My goal is to meet you where you are, while helping you develop the skills and confidence to move toward lasting growth and meaningful change.
