What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?
My philosophy when working with clients is that people CAN get better. I am also solution focused, so I don't believe in staying in therapy forever. Therapy is for those times in life where you need extra help.
People can get better. Severe symptoms can be reduced, often so much so, that they disappear. Each person is on an individual path, so the treatment must also be individualized. I offer weekly sessions and multi-hour or multi-day intensives. Weekly sessions are normally virtual, but the multi-hour/multi-day intensives can be in person in Alabama or they can be virtual in Alabama or Florida (no in-person in Florida). Multi-hour sessions are not covered by insurance and are private pay only.
The primary treatment methods I use are somatic. We do a lot of talking so I can better understand how you are experiencing life, then we start with somatic techniques to ground and relax you. From there we work on your individual goals using either somatic tapping, brainspotting, and other somatic techniques.
