Work History

“For scientific discovery, give me Scott; for speed and efficiency of travel, give me Amundsen; but when you are in a hopeless situation, when you are seeing no way out, get down on your knees and pray for Shackleton.” —Sir Raymond Priestley. Ernest Shackleton, best known for his Antarctic expeditions, in which during the 1914-1916 Endurance expedition, heroically led his crew to safety after their ship was trapped and crushed by Antarctic ice, exemplifying leadership skills in navigating extreme hardships. I'm likened to Shackleton because I'm someone people come to when everything else has failed. As a Jungian psychotherapist, I associate this most closely with the concept of redemption. Psychologically speaking, redemption means redeeming yourself from past transgressions or redeeming your potential for your future self, and even doing so for others. If you are prepared to put forth the heroic effort to grow and, dare I say, evolve, then contact us to schedule an appointment.
