Education
Carlow University, Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, 2024
Work HistoryHi, I’m Elise Tate, a therapist driven by a deep belief in the power of safe, supportive environments to spark healing, growth, and self-discovery. I’ve always been fascinated by the way people evolve through life’s transitions, especially when given the tools, space, and relationships to explore their stories. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Point Park University and my Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Carlow University. My path to therapy was both personal and professional. I’ve seen how isolating life can feel during hard transitions, and I’ve also seen how life changes when we feel seen, understood, and connected. That’s what drew me to this work. My experience includes supporting clients in hospital, school, and mobile outreach settings, which deepened my passion for community-based care and trauma-informed therapy. When I’m not in session, I love exploring my creative side by decorating, thrifting, and trying new things. You’ll also find me practicing Pilates or yoga, spending time with friends, or traveling somewhere new to expand my perspective.
