What is your style/approach to therapy?
Life can be tough. It's often lots of little things that add up and contribute to stress, anxiety, depression, relationship conflicts, or trouble at work. Remember that stress happens because of the way we PERCEIVE situations. Changing how we think is key to changing how we feel. Sometimes stress, worry, or depression can paralyze us. We get so stuck focusing on and thinking about problems, that we make it FEEL more difficult and unmanageable than it really is. You are not alone! The beginning of positive changes in you life is just a phone call away. No need to come to the office, you're busy and I get it. Schedule telehealth now.
When negative unwanted or harmful feelings cause you problems, the quicker you take planned and thoughtful action, the quicker you can begin to chip away at what can feel like a mountain. Remember you’re never alone in all of this, reach out, ask for help. Asking for help, seeking to make a positive change in your life is a true sign of strength and courage.
Our perceptions are unique to us. Sometimes checking these perceptions and talking things out with a trusted and understanding professional can shed new light on a stressful situation and help drive positive changes that make a real and impactful difference in our everyday lives. Together we can help you make a plan that empowers you to live your best life.
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
I believe that the patient should direct their therapy experience in a safe environment with guidance from a trained clinician who has experience dealing with emotional and behavioral concerns. This is YOUR time to focus on becoming the person you want to be. My approach blends client-centered and humanistic approaches with techniques from cognitive and behavioral modalities.
