Education
College of New Rochelle, Master of Science in Counseling, Mental Health Counseling, 2010 — Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling from the College of New Rochelle, completed in 2010 with a 4.0 GPA. Advanced training includes a Certificate in Career Development and Thanatology, supporting my work with clients navigating career transitions, life changes, aging, loss, and grief. My academic background emphasizes practical, real-world application to help clients move through transitions with clarity and resilience.
Ramapo College of NJ, Associate of Applied Arts, Business Administration, 2006 — Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Ramapo College of New Jersey, completed in 2006. Graduated with a 3.39 GPA and received the AU Leadership Award, Dean’s List recognition, and membership in the National Honor Society. This background supports my work with clients navigating career challenges, workplace stress, leadership roles, and major professional transitions.
Work HistoryI have spent over a decade working with adults, couples, and families across a wide range of settings, including private practice, outpatient clinics, residential programs, and hospital systems. This has allowed me to support people facing anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, serious mental illness, relationship challenges, and major life transitions. In my private practice, Steady Steps Counseling, I provide individual, couples, family, and group therapy. I work collaboratively with clients to understand what they are experiencing, set meaningful goals, and develop practical strategies that fit their real lives. I also have experience creating accessible telehealth services and ensuring care remains ethical, organized, and client-centered. Previously, I worked in high-volume outpatient settings, providing therapy to adolescents, adults, and older adults through both in-person and telehealth care. I facilitated therapy groups focused on emotional regulation, coping skills, and personal growth, and collaborated closely with psychiatrists, primary care providers, and other professionals to support clients with complex needs. Earlier in my career, I worked extensively in residential and community-based mental health programs serving individuals with chronic and severe mental illness. In these roles, I supported clients with daily living skills, recovery planning, crisis intervention, and long-term stability. I also supervised and trained staff, which strengthened my ability to view care through both a clinical and systems-based lens. Across all settings, my work has been grounded in compassion, structure, and respect for each person’s resilience. I draw from evidence-based approaches while staying focused on what truly helps clients feel safer, more capable, and more confident in their lives.
