Under Clinical Supervision
Emily Doyle, Master Social Worker - Limited, 31581 is practicing under the supervision of Kristie Salaski (Maryland, LCPC, LC6462) at Maryland Counseling Associates.
Please, note: A clinician listed as being “clinically supervised” is completing clinical hours toward their licensure. They have one or more fully licensed clinical supervisors that often have special training to become supervisors. They consult with their supervisor(s) on all of their cases, which means that, when working with them, you are getting the time and expertise of multiple therapists in your treatment.
What would be important for someone to know about working with you?
I specialize in working with children, teens, young adults, and queer individuals, often addressing trauma, anxiety, and relational issues. As a queer individual myself, I deeply understand the unique challenges faced by members of the community and am committed to providing a safe, compassionate, and empowering space for all my clients. My therapeutic approach is rooted in a mixture of treatment modalities, primarily utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and a humanistic stance. With CBT, I will help you reframe negative thoughts and equip you with skills and tools to manage them effectively. My humanistic approach ensures our sessions are guided by empathy and compassion.
How do you determine therapy goals with clients? What does that process look like?
My primary goal is to create a safe space where you can explore your feelings, build coping skills, and tell your story. I believe in respecting and showing compassion to every individual, allowing you to feel valued and understood. I approach therapy through an anti-oppressive lens, using a humanistic and liberation-focused framework to support your journey toward self-discovery and healing. I am deeply passionate about mental health and dedicated to deconstructing the stigma surrounding it. Let's work together to help you achieve the life you envision.
