Get To Know Me
What is your style/approach to therapy?
By exploring who you are fully, I work to create a safe space where my clients can show up authentically and explore past pain while implementing coping skills to use now. I think of our work together as a collaboration and my sessions typically feel conversational. I can use gentle challenging when it helps a client move towards goals while working to being fully attuned to the emotional experience in the room.
What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?
We can work together to create a tool box to open up for some short term solutions while doing some long term work. I utilize attachment theory to help get a better understanding of who you are while finding mindful emotional strategies through Acceptance Commitment Therapy.
How do you determine therapy goals with clients? What does that process look like?
Sometimes it can feel like our brains are working against us and the more we try and fight, the more they win. Together we can explore ways to help you work through some of this difficulty while finding ways to feel joyful and present. You are the expert on your own life and I have the privilege of helping connect some dots that will allow you to reach any goals. We can identify together what you may be doing now to cope with painful aspects of life and implement goals to find ways to meet challenges holistically and healthily.

Work HistoryTherapy is a second career life for me. I started in education, moving to management and have always worked with people. I found myself more drawn to the inner workings of our personhoods and enjoy genuine and authentic connection. After moving into the world of counseling, I have worked in a non-profit organization providing counseling to domestic violence survivors, eventually opening up my private practice where my primary areas of focus is working with clients on anxiety, parenting concerns, unhealthy coping skills like self-medicating and relationship issues.
