What is your style/approach to therapy?
My clients tell me they find our work empowering, because I can sit deeply with them during difficult emotions and trust in their inner wisdom to provide the answers. I work creatively, actively, and compassionately. My approach is different than most, as I am holistic and integrative, and with my passion for neuroscience I am leaning into how your brain works vs fighting against it. This helps with efficiency and facilitating my clients to experience breakthroughs.
What does a first session with you look like?
We focus on what is causing you problems in your life and develop a deeper understanding of the sources of suffering. We also explore your vision of healing and change. This helps us create a path towards your healing. Most people feel relief after their first session and/or walk away with a new perspective. For some people, we may explore through art making. For others, we might play with breathing techniques to help release and ground, as well as find connection between the two of us. At the end of our time, you decide whether you want to move forward and schedule more sessions.

Work HistoryI've worked with so many different people and in a variety of settings- From little ones to older adults. Generally, my clients have faced significant traumas and hardships in their life. I supported people with crisis stabilization. I have facilitated family therapy, child therapy, group therapy and individual therapy. My experience is heavily in trauma and with the populations I've served, I have become culturally sensitive and practice cultural humbleness.
I do not specialize in one problem area. I launched my private practice in 2019 and focused on developing my unique craft - which is integrative and focused on healing through embodiment. My specialty has become the way in which I work. Many people come to see me, because I incorporate somatic practices, breathing, visualization, and memory re-consolidation into their healing work. I find my style works especially well with folks who want and need something different, or are tired of traditional talk therapy.
