Get To Know Me
What is your style/approach to therapy?
Over the years, I've developed a passion for working with young adults and supporting the unique challenges they face today. I've found that many young (and even not-so-young!) adults are dealing with major life transitions, and struggle to navigate those new changes at times. This is where therapy steps in!
I offer teletherapy services that allow you to experience therapy from the comfort of your home. Cuddle up with your pup, grab a cozy blanket, & get comfy. When working with me, you can expect to gain new coping skills, tools for challenging and disrupting negative thoughts, new insights, and increased awareness of strategies for self-care and self-love.
This process can be difficult at times, but I believe growth and change don't exist without some discomfort. You have taken the steps to begin (or maybe continue) your mental health journey and I look forward to the opportunity to support and empower you along the way! I hope to talk with you soon.
What does a first session with you look like?
Our first session will be an opportunity to get to know each other! It will include a thorough discussion of a variety of topics about your life. Some examples include:
-- Mental health history
-- Goals for therapy
-- Family dynamics
-- Romantic relationships
-- Substance use history
-- Social relationships
-- Work/School history
-- Top stressors
If you have any questions for me, we'll also make space for them in this first session.
What do you think is the biggest barrier today for people seeking care?
I'm a firm believer that cost is the biggest barrier for most people seeking care today. For this reason, I'm in-network with a wide variety of insurance companies, and provide options for billing out-of-network benefits as well. I strive to make therapy more accessible by working with as many insurance companies as possible to ensure clients are able to utilize their benefits.
