What was your path to becoming a therapist? What inspired you to choose this profession?
During my 20 years in the military, I gained invaluable experience in mentoring, resiliency training, and suicide intervention. My passion for serving others has led me to increase my knowledge base and seek out opportunities where I can utilize these skills to make a real difference and apply my expertise in my community that is in critical need of support.
If you could pick one movie or book that influenced your approach to therapy, what would it be and why?
Technically Ted Lasso is a television show, but I have been inspired by their themes of choosing curiosity over judgment. This principle has helped many clients process past, present, and future experiences.
