Get To Know Me
If you could pick one movie or book that influenced your approach to therapy, what would it be and why?
The themes from Good Will Hunting profoundly influence my approach to therapy by reinforcing that the most powerful tool for healing is a genuine, human relationship. I believe in meeting clients exactly where they are, patiently working through defenses without being drawn into intellectual games, much like Sean did with Will. This commitment to authenticity allows me to show up as a real person, and using appropriate self-disclosure helps foster the trust needed for deep work. The film's pivotal "It's Not Your Fault" moment underscores the absolute necessity of emotional validation; for clients struggling with trauma, shame, and trust issues, breaking through defenses requires not just expertise, but persistent, heartfelt compassion to help them drop the intellectual shield and finally process their core pain, leading to real, lasting change

Work HistoryHere are the areas where I've focused my work:
Recovery and Personal Strength
I spent time working at a rehab center, helping people find recovery from addiction and tackling the difficult feelings that often come with it. We focused on building self-confidence, healing from past painful experiences, learning how to build trust again, dealing with strong anger issues, and moving away from unhealthy patterns where you rely too much on others.
Handling Stress and Big Feelings
I've also worked in a community setting with people of all ages—from children to seniors. I've helped clients who are struggling with constant worry or anxiety, feeling really down or overwhelmed, navigating tough parenting challenges, and managing the everyday stress and big changes that life brings. I also have experience supporting people who are working on challenges with alcohol or drugs.
Academic and Career Support
Finally, I've enjoyed helping college students manage the pressure of schoolwork and make clear, confident decisions about their career and future after graduation.
I look forward to meeting you and discussing how my experience can help you achieve your goals.
