What is your style/approach to therapy?

I believe you know yourself better than anyone else. I also believe humans are built for connection, and when you find a therapist that is the right fit for your needs, therapy can be healing. I encourage safety and empowerment with my clients, compassionately challenging them to work toward their individual goals and embrace their intuitive sense of self.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

I view therapy primarily through an attachment-based and psychodynamic lens. Therefore, I see the way our early experiences inform how we show up in our relationships with others (and ourselves). I also use a feminist framework, validating how our social/cultural identities and political environment impact our wellness. I am a trauma-informed clinician and value the body-mind relationship, incorporating somatic interventions and mindful awareness into sessions.

What would be important for someone to know about working with you?

I specialize in working with anxiety, relationship challenges, sexuality/identity exploration, past/childhood trauma, and attachment healing. However, I am here to support you with any topics and goals you choose to bring to session. I am sex-positive, nonjudgemental, & queer/gender-affirming.

Work History

Prior to becoming a therapist, I worked in a variety of social work settings with children and families. I facilitated evidence-based therapeutic interventions in a nonprofit setting for victims and survivors of sexual abuse. I was also a youth advocate and case manager for a program in Charleston, SC that ensured children in the foster care were having their needs met. I continue to work with a similar nonprofit in Philly, and because of these experiences, I am sensitive to intergenerational trauma and traumatic stress caused by systems.
