Get To Know Me
What would be important for someone to know about working with you?
I specialize in eating disorders, body image, and trauma. I have, both, personal insight and extensive clinical experience- including working in all higher levels of care. My approach is personalized and evidence-based, designed to help my clients clarify their values, navigate challenges, and achieve their goals.
I combine evidence-based approaches including CBT, ERP, ACT, DBT, and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART)- with practical tools and personalized guidance. ART, for example, can help reprogram how difficult memories are stored in the brain, often bringing trauma relief in just a few sessions.
What was your path to becoming a therapist? What inspired you to choose this profession?
I became a therapist because of my own experiences navigating mental health challenges, including an eating disorder and depression. Those experiences showed me how powerful compassionate, informed support can be in helping someone feel understood, regain control, and create meaningful change in their life.
What does a first session with you look like?
A therapy session with me is collaborative, supportive, and tailored to your needs. We begin by exploring what brings you to therapy and what your goals are, creating a safe space where you can be heard without judgment. I combine active listening with practical tools and evidence-based strategies, drawing from CBT, ACT, DBT, ERP, and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) when appropriate.
Following sessions may include processing emotions, learning coping skills, exploring patterns in thoughts and behaviors, or working through trauma.
