Under Clinical Supervision
Hannah Loftus, Licensed Master Social Worker, 109371 is practicing under the supervision of Megan Coit (Texas, LCSW, 57180) at The And Way Therapy, PLLC.
Please, note: A clinician listed as being “clinically supervised” is completing clinical hours toward their licensure. They have one or more fully licensed clinical supervisors that often have special training to become supervisors. They consult with their supervisor(s) on all of their cases, which means that, when working with them, you are getting the time and expertise of multiple therapists in your treatment.
What was your path to becoming a therapist? What inspired you to choose this profession?
I became a therapist because I noticed so many of us have experienced trauma and are not able to find healing from talk therapy alone, and I wanted to increase access to somatic therapy in my community.
If you could pick one movie or book that influenced your approach to therapy, what would it be and why?
The Body Keeps the Score provides a great foundation for the importance of working with the body to heal trauma.
What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?
I use Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, a somatic approach to therapy that works to heal trauma in ways different from talk therapy. I use this somatic therapy technique to support your healing, as well as draw from Internal Family Systems, and principles of mindfulness to support a mind-body connection.
