What was your path to becoming a therapist? What inspired you to choose this profession?
Emotions are my favorite thing to talk about. I’ve always been drawn to understanding why we feel the way we do and how our past shapes us. Growing up, I was incredibly sensitive and anxious, and for a long time, I thought that meant something was wrong with me. I tried to push through, to ignore it, but that only made it worse. Over time, I learned that my sensitivity wasn’t a weakness; it was a tool. It helped me understand people on a deeper level and see patterns that weren’t always obvious. When I studied Psychology, everything clicked. I saw how our experiences wire our brains, how we get stuck in cycles, and how real change happens when we start untangling the things that no longer serve us. Becoming a therapist felt natural. I know what it’s like to feel overwhelmed, to struggle with self-doubt, to question if things will ever feel different. And I also know that with the right insight and support, they can.
What would be important for someone to know about working with you?
I promise not to just sit silently and nod. Therapy with me is active, engaging, and intentional. I listen deeply, but I also give feedback, ask thought-provoking questions, and help you see patterns you might not have noticed. My approach is warm and supportive. I tailor each session to your needs and goals. Therapy should feel like a space where you’re truly understood, challenged in a way that feels productive, and supported in a way that makes growth possible.
If there was one thing you wish people knew about the therapy experience who might be hesitant to try it, what would that be?
Therapy literally changes your brain. The way you think, react, and process emotions is shaped by neural pathways that have been reinforced over time. When you go to therapy, you’re not just talking—you’re actively rewiring those pathways. That means over time, you don’t just cope better; your default responses start to shift. Anxiety lessens, self-doubt quiets, and the way you see yourself and your relationships can fundamentally change. If you’re hesitant to try therapy, know this: it’s not about venting or dwelling on the past. It’s about understanding why you think the way you do and giving yourself the chance to think, feel, and respond differently. It works—not because of magic, but because your brain is built to adapt when given the right input.

Work History
I have had the opportunity to work in a variety of mental health settings, including local schools, inpatient treatment centers, and non-profit organizations, substance abuse facilities, and private practices. All of these experiences, alongside my personal life journey inspired me to create my own practice, Philosophie Therapy. I founded Philosophie Therapy on the belief that everyone has their own unique way of seeing the world - their own "Philosophie." Life has a way of clouding our intuition, filling us with doubt, and making us feel disconnected from our own power. Philosophie Therapy is a space to return to yourself, untangle what no longer serves you, and build a life that feels true to who you are. Philosophie Therapy is a fully online private practice serving clients across Florida. Through thoughtful, intentional therapy, I help clients find clarity, self-trust, and a deeper understanding of what truly matters to them. Every session is designed to be a supportive space where growth feels possible, healing feels personal, and change feels within reach. Let me know if you’d like any tweaks!
