Get To Know Me
What would be important for someone to know about working with you?
Faith is a key component of my life and my work; it’s the compass that keeps me grounded and the lens through which I see the inherent worth in every individual. I understand that life doesn't always go according to plan, and sometimes we need a little grace—and a practical plan—to get back on track. I’m here to offer both, helping you navigate your relationships with a perspective that is as down-to-earth as it is hopeful.
What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?
When we sit down for a session, my main goal is for you to feel seen and supported. I use two main approaches—CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) and DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy)—but I promise it won't feel like a clinical lecture. Instead, think of it as a collaborative conversation where we look at the "why" behind your feelings and the "how" of making things better. We’ll talk through the heavy stuff, but we’ll also focus on practical, real-world tools you can use the moment you log off.
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
I use a trauma-informed lens to offer you both insight and real-world relief. I am an active, engaged listener who works alongside you to connect the dots. You'll leave our time together feeling truly seen, deeply supported, and equipped with a gentle plan for your healing.

Education
University of Texas at San Antonio, Master of Arts, Counseling, 2014
Work HistoryI’ve always believed that life is best lived with an open heart and a "how can I help?" spirit. My roots run deep in the soil of a large family, and that’s where I first learned that life is a beautiful, messy team sport. Now that I’m raising my own family, I’m reminded daily that while the days are long, the years are incredibly short—and the connections we build within those years are what truly matter.
Being the eldest child was my first real masterclass in leadership and responsibility. I grew up navigating the "big sibling" pressure of being the peacekeeper and the one who had to have it all figured out. Because of that, I deeply understand the demands placed on those who carry the weight of expectations, whether from family, work, or themselves. I know what it’s like to feel like you have to be the glue holding everything together, and I know how exhausting that role can be when you don't have a soft place to land.
My path eventually led me to serve as a Teacher and School Counselor, where I spent years in the heart of our community. In those hallways, I saw firsthand the struggles families face—the quiet anxieties of parents and the complex social hurdles children navigate. It taught me that behind every "difficult" interaction is usually a person just looking to be heard.
I am currently available for therapy sessions for individuals living in both Texas and Florida. I know that reaching out for help is a personal decision and can sometimes feel a bit daunting, but I’d love to hear your story and see if we’re a good fit to work together. Feel free to send me an email or give me a call—I’m looking forward to connecting with you.
