Work HistoryFor over 20 years, I've had a passion for making a positive difference in the lives of others. As a new clinician, I worked directly with youth involved in foster care and juvenile justice as well as their families helping them work through trauma and build the skills needed to manage symptoms and successfully reintegrate back into their communities. I've consulted with mental health clinics throughout Los Angeles County to improve the quality of service for those seeking outpatient care. I was selected by the US Department of Juvenile Justice to remedy the mental health findings identified in a settlement agreement and was tasked with establishing a quality assurance program and providing oversight to the mental health staff treating youth in confinement. After many years in administration and providing clinical supervision to other therapists, I returned to private practice focused on adults struggling with depression, anxiety, grief, life transitions and relationship difficulties. I am certified in a number of evidenced based practices, which I incorporate in my work to help clients build the skills they need to lead fulfilling and productive lives.
