Get To Know Me
What would be important for someone to know about working with you?
Clients who work with me often find that I bring a warm, collaborative, and thoughtful approach to therapy. I strive to create a safe and respectful space where individuals, couples, and families can explore their experiences openly and feel genuinely heard and understood. My work is guided by curiosity, empathy, and a deep respect for each person’s cultural background, values, and unique life story.
I believe therapy is most effective when it is both supportive and practical. I help clients develop insight into patterns that may be creating distress while also offering tools to strengthen communication, emotional regulation, and relationships. I am particularly passionate about helping families and couples navigate complex dynamics, repair connection, and build healthier ways of relating to one another.
In what ways have your personal experiences influenced your work with your clients?
My personal experiences have deepened my empathy and understanding of the complex dynamics that many individuals and families face. Having both personal and professional exposure to multicultural environments and the experience of supporting individuals on the autism spectrum, I bring a nuanced awareness of the challenges families may encounter as they navigate differences in culture, communication styles, and developmental needs. These experiences have strengthened my ability to approach each client with humility, curiosity, and respect for their unique circumstances.
They have also reinforced my commitment to supporting families and relationships with sensitivity and compassion. Understanding the emotional, practical, and relational demands placed on caregivers and family members allows me to connect with clients in a genuine way and to help them feel less alone in their struggles. My experiences continue to inform my work by reminding me of the resilience of families and the importance of creating supportive systems that allow each member to feel seen, understood, and valued.

Work HistoryDuring my clinical training, I completed my practicum working with chronically mentally ill clients with dual diagnoses, which provided me with extensive experience supporting individuals facing complex mental health and substance use challenges. This work helped me develop strong clinical skills, compassion, and a deep understanding of the multifaceted nature of psychological distress. Following my practicum, I transitioned into private practice, where I have been working with individuals, couples, and families from diverse backgrounds.
I particularly enjoy working with multicultural families and immigrants, and I have both personal and professional experience supporting family members of individuals on the autism spectrum. This experience has given me a deep appreciation for the nuances and challenges of raising children on the spectrum, as well as the importance of supporting their families and broader support systems. I have a true passion for helping couples and families strengthen their relationships, and I specialize in working with parent–child dynamics and sibling relationships.
