What was your path to becoming a therapist? What inspired you to choose this profession?

My healthcare journey began in nursing school, where an internship on a psychiatric unit revealed the critical need for compassionate, understanding mental health care. This experience sparked my passion for psychiatry, leading me to diverse roles in inpatient units, schools, and home care. Each setting enriched my approach to patient care, emphasizing a holistic and personalized method. By meeting patients in their natural environments, I can better coordinate services and apply the latest evidence-based practices, striving always to deliver comprehensive, compassionate care tailored to individual needs.
