Work HistoryFrom 2017 through the present day I've operated a private practice where I offer mental health counseling and relationship counseling to adults both in office and in a telehealth setting. I have helped people with a wide range of issues including but not limited to: depression, anxiety, PTSD, bi-polar disorder, substance use issues, adjustment disorders and relationship issues. My approach uses various cognitive and mindfulness based therapies to help my clients gain greater awareness of their thoughts and feelings so that they can develop stronger coping skills and focus more on living a meaningful life. I also use a therapy called Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing to help anyone who's experienced trauma and is finding themselves unable to move effectively past the traumatic experiences and live their best life. From 2008 until 2017, before I started the private practice I worked as a mental health case manager in various departments at a community mental health center called Lakeview Center in Pensacola, FL. As a case manager I assisted chronically and persistently mentally ill patients of various levels of severity with linkage to mental health services such as psychiatry, counseling, skills building and financial/housing assistance. I also monitored their mental health symptoms and progress in treatment and collaborated with a treatment team on the best course of action for their clients needs.
