Get To Know Me
What was your path to becoming a therapist? What inspired you to choose this profession?
I chose to become a therapist because I have personally struggled with mental health since I was a young girl. I realized that I was passionate about helping others and wanted to do a job where I could use what I had been through to help others heal their own trauma.
I have a family history of addiction as well and this is what led me to working in the addiction field.
In what ways does your personality influence your approach to therapy?
I am a very genuine and caring person and I approach each of my therapeutic relationships in this way, with caring and a deep passion and care for what I do. I am also a goofy person, so you can usually find me bringing humor into sessions as well.
What is your style/approach to therapy?
I love to utilize somatic, attachment, and IFS approaches with my clients. I view therapy from a wholeness model and treat people as such. I believe that we need to work with peoples, mind, body, and spirit for true healing.
