Work HistoryI spent the bulk of my career working with college graduates doing career counseling. When I decided I needed a change I found a job teaching a relationship skills class at UF. As an instructor I had to refer couples to therapists when they wanted help applying the concepts I thought them to their experience. That is when I decided to go back to school to become a therapist myself.
I had an opportunity to work in a psych hospital patients experiencing a variety of mental health concerns. I then went on to work for a group practice providing individual, couple, and family therapy. I recently opened my own practice providing individual, couple, and family therapy. I trained in Gottman method and Emotion Focused therapy for my work with couples. I've trained in EMDR and Attachment focused EMDR for trauma treatment. I have additional trainings in ADHD diagnosis and treatment, Parenting skills, somatic approaches, and parts work.
