Get To Know Me
What was your path to becoming a therapist? What inspired you to choose this profession?
My path to becoming a therapist was rooted in a lifelong desire to help others navigate life’s most difficult moments. Growing up, I saw firsthand how mental health challenges can impact individuals and families, especially when support is limited or unavailable. This sparked a deep curiosity about human behavior and a drive to understand how people heal, grow, and overcome adversity.
Early in my career, I worked in community-based mental health services, where I supported individuals dealing with trauma, grief, addiction, and emotional distress. Witnessing the strength and resilience of those I worked with inspired me to pursue advanced training and education in counseling. I knew I wanted to be someone people could turn to when life felt overwhelming—someone who could offer both compassion and practical guidance.
What truly inspired me to choose this profession was seeing the transformative power of therapy. I’ve watched people regain their sense of purpose, rebuild relationships, and find hope in the face of pain. That journey—walking alongside someone as they discover their own strength and begin to heal—is what drives me every day. It’s a deep honor to be trusted with people’s stories, and I approach every client with care, respect, and the belief that healing is always possible.
What would be important for someone to know about working with you?
When working with me, it’s important to know that I will always meet you where you are—emotionally, mentally, and without judgment. I believe in creating a safe, supportive space where you can be your true self, speak freely, and feel genuinely heard. You are the expert in your own life, and my role is to walk alongside you, offering perspective, tools, and encouragement to help you move toward the goals you set for yourself.
I take a compassionate, client-centered approach, blending practical strategies with insight-oriented work. This means we’ll focus both on developing coping tools you can use right away and on understanding deeper patterns that may be affecting your current thoughts, emotions, and relationships.
You’ll find that I value open communication, collaboration, and consistency. I believe that trust is built over time, and I’m committed to showing up fully for you in each session. Whether you’re facing a specific challenge like anxiety, depression, relationship struggles, or grief—or just feeling stuck and unsure—I’m here to help you sort through the noise and reconnect with your inner strength.
Most importantly, I want you to know that you don’t have to go through this alone. Therapy can be hard work, but it can also be empowering, even life-changing. And I will be with you every step of the way.

Work HistoryOver the past two decades, I’ve had the privilege of working in a variety of mental health settings that have shaped and deepened my expertise. I began my journey working with individuals experiencing severe mental health challenges, where I learned the importance of patience, empathy, and meeting people exactly where they are. From there, I expanded into supporting clients dealing with depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, and life transitions. These experiences helped me develop a strong, compassionate approach that balances emotional support with practical tools for healing and growth.
I’ve also worked extensively with families and couples, helping them navigate difficult relationships, rebuild trust, and improve communication. Supporting teens and adults through life stressors, career shifts, and identity challenges has been a consistent part of my work. Throughout my career, I’ve seen how powerful therapy can be when clients feel truly understood and supported.
No matter the setting or the challenge, my focus has always been on creating a safe space for healing—where clients feel respected, heard, and empowered to move forward. These years of experience have given me a deep understanding of human behavior, emotional resilience, and the value of genuine connection in the therapeutic relationship.
