Work HistoryDr. Cavaliero is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist with extensive experience providing compassionate, evidence-based care to children, adolescents, and adults. She earned her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from The Illinois School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University. Throughout her career, Dr. Cavaliero has worked in a variety of mental health settings, offering individual and group therapy for clients facing a wide range of emotional, behavioral, and psychological challenges. Her clinical expertise includes work with underserved populations, acute psychiatric care, and psychological assessment. Most recently, Dr. Cavaliero served as the Clinical Director of Psychology Services at Hartgrove Behavioral Health System, after previously holding the same leadership role at its sister facility, Garfield Park Behavioral Hospital. In both positions, she also served as Patient Advocate and was instrumental in coordinating externship programs, mentoring graduate students in therapy and psychological testing with child and adolescent populations. Before that, she worked at the DuPage County Health Department, providing psychological services to adults with chronic and complex behavioral health diagnoses. As Intern Training Director, she supervised and trained doctoral-level psychology interns and led the selection process for incoming trainees. In addition to her work in hospitals and community mental health, Dr. Cavaliero has experience in private practice and served as a therapist in the Partial Hospitalization Programs at Alexian Brothers Behavioral Health Hospital (now Amita), as well as a counselor on inpatient psychiatric units. Dr. Cavaliero brings a wealth of clinical knowledge, leadership, and dedication to every client she serves, always striving to create a safe and supportive space for healing and growth.
