What was your path to becoming a therapist? What inspired you to choose this profession?
I have several family members that have struggled with substance use and mental health needs most of their lives. I realized that some of their needs could have been met if they had access to mental health treatment. I wanted to be able part of the solution and to aid others in making positive change and improve their lives.
What would be important for someone to know about working with you?
I enjoy learning what motivates my clients so that we can collaborate together to set realistic goals. I always try to be transparent and work with my clients as a team. I enjoy working with adolescents and their families as well as adults to identify ways to manage their challenges and support their mental health needs.I strive to provide a safe, empathetic and confidential space for my clients to explore their thoughts and feelings.
What does a first session with you look like?
During our first session, we will talk about your needs and goals and develop a plan to reach those goals. It will be a laid back conversation to get to know one another and help you to feel more comfortable.
