Education
University of South Carolina, Master of Education, Counselor Education - Marriage, Couples' & Family Therapy, 2018 — The University of South Carolina Counselor Education program provides specialized instruction and clinical experience in responding to the therapeutic needs of individuals, couples, parents and families to post-graduate attendees. Graduates are trained to attend to client issues from a systemic perspective, in order to seek out and identify family and social resources to support healthy family, relational and individual functioning. A systems-based perspective means that therapists are trained to view the "whole" client, as a part of a larger system that includes their upbringing, familial dynamics, and social relationships. Degree specialization includes exploration of effective interventions for individuals with relationship management, familial distress, and couples' distress management.
Work HistoryI have worked within the mental and behavioral health fields for approximately 10 years. I have had the opportunity to provide counseling services in a variety of settings; including a college counseling center, a foster care organization, multiple primary schools, and private practice settings. I have experience working with individuals, families, couples, and groups to help people pursue their most authentic selves and healthy relationships.
