Get To Know Me
What would be important for someone to know about working with you?
I believe that therapy is political and I am very open to discussing this with clients!
I am a passionately pro-choice, trans-inclusive feminist.
I support the BIPOC and immigrant community.
I am a member of the LGBTQIA2S+ community.
I am neurodivgerent.
I believe in science and vaccines.
I'm a laid back therapist. I don't give homework and I don't do coaching. I will not try to fix you.
What is your style/approach to therapy?
I am a relational therapist, meaning I utilize the relationship I build with my clients as the main therapeutic tool. This looks and feels like a whole lot of nothing at first! A lot of clients come to therapy looking for specific tools and "advice" for how to fix their "symptoms. While I can give some guidance on skills to use to ground and regulate, the majority of our work is going to involve making contact with, and learning to process through, emotions and other psychological content that we might be wanting to escape using "tools".

Work HistoryI have been working mostly in private practice, mostly via telehealth, since 2021. I've worked with a variety of amazing people, including neurodivergent, BIPOC, and LGBTQIA2S+ clients. A lot of the clients I've supported have experienced one or more types of hardship or trauma, including poverty, racism, misogyny, ableism, childhood abuse and/or neglect, bullying, workplace harassment, domestic violence, narcissistic abuse, medical gaslighting, chronic illness, queerphobia, and sexual coercion. I have some experience with clients actively experiencing, or recovering from, substance abuse and addiction as well as behavioral addictions.
