Get To Know Me
What is your style/approach to therapy?
My style is psychodynamic and relational. I’m interested in what keeps repeating, what feels hard to say directly, and how earlier relationships still shape the present. I listen closely, ask questions, and try to help clients notice patterns without turning therapy into a performance of insight or self-improvement.
I am not especially worksheet-y, and I do not see therapy as a place where people should be trained to become more productive, palatable, or easily managed. The work is slower and more honest than that. We pay attention to anxiety, shame, desire, grief, anger, dissociation, stuckness, relationships, identity, and the ways people have learned to protect themselves.
I try to be warm, thoughtful, direct, and human in the room. I’m not a blank wall, but I also don’t rush to fill the space with advice. My hope is to offer a steady place where clients can speak more freely, feel less alone with what they carry, and come to understand themselves with more complexity and less self-betrayal.
