Education
CGI, Doctor of Behavioral Health, 2025 — My Doctor of Behavioral Health (DBH) training focused on integrating behavioral health into healthcare settings and improving collaboration between mental health and medical professionals. This education strengthened my ability to approach complex cases from a whole-person perspective while emphasizing evidence-based practice, clinical decision-making, healthcare systems, and interdisciplinary collaboration. In addition to clinical practice, my doctoral training reinforced my passion for education, professional development, and mentoring future behavioral health professionals. I enjoy helping counseling students, registered interns, and early-career clinicians develop clinical confidence, strengthen their decision-making skills, and successfully transition into professional practice.
Springfield College, Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Human Services, 2010 — My master's degree in Mental Health Counseling provided the foundation for my clinical training and licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. Through graduate coursework and supervised clinical experiences, I developed skills in assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, counseling techniques, ethics, and multicultural counseling while working with individuals across a variety of settings and presenting concerns. This training established the clinical framework that continues to support my work with clients, counseling students, registered interns, and early-career mental health professionals.
Work HistoryThroughout my career, I have worked across a wide range of behavioral health settings, including community mental health, outpatient counseling, integrated healthcare, schools, correctional settings, and private practice. Working with children, adolescents, adults, families, and multidisciplinary teams has given me a broad understanding of the many paths mental health professionals take throughout their careers. These experiences have shaped my passion for helping people navigate life transitions, manage stress, and build confidence while also giving me a unique perspective on the challenges faced by behavioral health professionals working in different environments. In addition to providing counseling services, I have supervised counseling students and registered interns, supported professionals preparing for licensure, and enjoyed helping new clinicians develop clinical confidence, strengthen their decision-making skills, and discover areas of specialty that align with their strengths and career goals. Today, my work combines clinical experience, education, and consultation to support individuals seeking counseling as well as counseling students, registered interns, and early-career mental health professionals as they continue to grow personally and professionally.
