What would be important for someone to know about working with you?
Serving Washington via telehealth (WA licensed). I’m based in Eastern Time and offer WA-friendly morning appointments in Pacific Time. Working with me is structured, focused, and practical. Sessions are collaborative and goal-oriented, with clear takeaways you can apply between appointments.
I balance warmth with directness. I will validate your experience, and I will also help you identify patterns that may be keeping you stuck — especially perfectionism, overthinking, and pressure to constantly perform.
I integrate education about stress physiology, sleep, and nervous system regulation so you understand not just what you’re feeling, but why.
The goal is not long-term dependency. It’s helping you build steadiness, internal confidence, and sustainable coping skills so you can function well in demanding environments.
What do you think is the biggest barrier today for people seeking care?
One of the biggest barriers I see today is normalization of chronic stress. Many high-performing individuals minimize their symptoms because they are still functioning — working, parenting, achieving. They assume that if they’re not in crisis, they should be able to manage on their own.
Another barrier is the belief that therapy must be long-term or open-ended. Many professionals hesitate to seek care because they worry about the time commitment or emotional intensity.
In reality, structured, goal-oriented care can be focused and practical. Seeking support doesn’t mean something is “wrong.” It can be a proactive decision to stabilize stress, improve sleep, and prevent burnout before it escalates.
What are some the unique issues faced by clients in your particular field of specialization, in terms of mental health education, care, and/or treatment?
Many of the women I work with are highly capable and externally successful, which can make their internal distress less visible. Because they are still functioning at a high level, their anxiety, sleep disruption, and burnout are often minimized — by others and by themselves.
A unique challenge in this population is the normalization of chronic stress. Overthinking, constant performance pressure, and difficulty turning the mind “off” are often seen as part of being ambitious or responsible. Over time, however, this pattern impacts both mental and physical health — including sleep, mood stability, and stress-related symptoms.
Another issue is information overload. Many high-performing women are well-read and self-aware, but struggle to translate insight into consistent behavioral change. Structured, skills-based care that integrates stress physiology and lifestyle factors is often more effective than open-ended processing alone.
Treatment in this area requires clarity, efficiency, and a focus on building internal steadiness rather than reinforcing performance-driven identity.

Education
Springfield College, Master of Science, Human Services- Mental Health Counseling, 2010 — I provide structured, skills-based behavioral health care for high-performing women experiencing anxiety, burnout, and performance-related stress.
As a Doctor of Behavioral Health (DBH), my approach integrates mental health care with education on stress physiology, sleep, and lifestyle factors that influence mood, focus, and overall well-being.
Many of the women I work with feel pressure to “hold it together,” overthink interactions, or struggle to turn their minds off at night. We focus on stabilizing the nervous system, reducing rumination, improving sleep, and building internal confidence that is not dependent on external feedback.
Sessions are structured, goal-oriented, and designed to create measurable progress — often within the first several sessions. The goal is steadiness and independence, not long-term dependency.
Work HistoryMy clinical background includes work in community mental health, integrated care settings, and outpatient behavioral health. Through these experiences, I developed a structured, practical approach to helping adults manage anxiety, stress-related symptoms, and life transitions.
Working in fast-paced systems shaped my focus on efficiency, clarity, and measurable progress. I saw firsthand how chronic stress, sleep disruption, and performance pressure impact both mental and physical health.
Today, I use that experience to provide focused, goal-oriented care for high-performing women who want tools they can apply between sessions — not just a space to process.
