What would be important for someone to know about working with you?

My hope is to cultivate a therapeutic environment that is authentic, empathetic, non-judgmental and filled with compassionate curiosity. I view therapy as a collaborative process that encourages personal growth, self-compassion, and empowerment in the areas that are important to you. As an art therapist, if interested, I can incorporate the art making process as a restorative tool to increase insight in nonverbal forms of expression while expanding your own imaginative capabilities. My desire is to provide a safe space to explore past experiences and traumas while creatively working towards healing and growth. My hope is for people to feel seen and heard, have space to cultivate their identity and navigate their way towards healing and balance through the therapeutic process. I invite you to collaboratively and creatively join me in exploring what that looks like for you.

Work History

I have worked in various therapeutic setting but much of my early work was with young adults in a group home setting. When I was working in community mental health I learned so much of the foundations for how I approach my work now in private practice. I was at a group practice for while and then decided to branch out on my own and start the practice I am at now. I have tailored the experience that I have acquired in to what I specialize in now. Much of the clients I worked with experience various levels of anxiety, self esteem and body image, and trauma. There are many other symptoms that can and do coalesce with what I specialize in, so I definitely spend time talking about and observing the overlap in symptoms. While exploring with my clients what is uniquely effect for them in unpacking and moving through some of their experiences.
