Get To Know Me
What would be important for someone to know about working with you?
I work with Insight Therapy Solutions, a US-based teletherapy and mental health services provider offering online counseling for anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. At Insight Therapy Solutions, therapy is personalized to address both emotional concerns and practical challenges. My approach is client-centered, focused on providing strategies that promote lasting change and enhance overall well-being in a comfortable and supportive setting.
What was your path to becoming a therapist? What inspired you to choose this profession?
My path to therapy was quite unconventional. I spent years as a professional dancer, performing with companies across the USA and Europe, then transitioning to musical theater and cabaret. As I approached my later years, I became a massage therapist, which sparked my interest in healing work. Seeking more stability and purpose, I pursued an entirely new undergraduate degree in Psychology at University of Nevada, Reno, followed by my Master's in Counseling. What inspired me was the desire to help people grow and find happiness. After 17 years in practice, I still love the transformative process of psychotherapy.
What does a first session with you look like?
At Insight Therapy Solutions, a typical first session begins with our free matchmaking consultation, which usually lasts about 15–30 minutes. During this call, a team member asks about your needs, goals, preferences, and what you’re hoping to get out of therapy so they can connect you with a therapist who aligns well with you. Once you’re matched with a therapist, your first actual therapy session is conducted through our secure online platform. In that initial appointment, your therapist will take time to learn about your background, what brought you to therapy, and what you’d like to focus on. Together you’ll begin discussing your goals, clarify what you want support with, and get a sense of how you’ll work together moving forward. Every first session is tailored to your story and gives you space to both share your experience and ask any questions you have about the therapeutic process.

Work HistoryAt many points in life, people find themselves standing in front of an emotional truth they've avoided for years—an unexpected grief that finally surfaces, a relationship pattern they no longer want to repeat, or a sense that something within them is asking to be understood differently.
After earning my degrees from the University of Nevada, Reno, I trained in acute psychiatric hospitals, community clinics, and group programs, gaining a close view of how people cope when everything feels overwhelming or unfamiliar. Those early experiences taught me to look closely, listen fully, and work with clients in a way that honors both their resilience and their pain.
As a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist since 2008, I work with adults seeking clarity, healing, or change. My approach blends experiential, systemic, somatic, and evidence-based methods to help clients recognize how past and present intertwine and to support them in creating lives that feel more emotionally coherent. If you’d like support, you can reach me through Insight Therapy Solutions at 888-409-8976.
