Work History

I began my career as a mental health practitioner working in community mental health settings. I supported clients at end-of-life through Hospice as well as their bereaved loved ones. I worked on a detox unit with those who were battling co-occuring substance abuse and mental illness. For several years, I worked with clients who were diagnosed with severe and persistent mental illness - primarily schizophrenia and bipolar, many of whom lived on a locked unit due to being a danger to themselves or others. More recently, over the past 3+ years, I have worked in a private practice setting with clients experiencing struggles in regular everyday life: dealing with relationship issues, or going through life transitions. Many of my clients experience anxiety, depression, low self-worth, and feelings of overwhelm.
