What would be important for someone to know about working with you?

When you work with me, it’s all about creating a space where you can be real—no filters, no judgment. I get that college life can be overwhelming, with pressure coming from all directions. My approach is casual but focused; I’m here to listen, understand, and help you navigate whatever you're going through, whether it’s stress, anxiety, depression, or just figuring out your next steps. We’ll work together to tackle your challenges, using practical strategies that fit into your life. My goal is to make sure you leave each session feeling heard, supported, and equipped with tools that actually work for you.

What do you view as a key component of the therapeutic relationship?

A key component of the therapeutic relationship, especially when working with college students, is trust. I believe it’s essential for you to feel that this is a safe space where you can be completely open and honest without fear of judgment. We're in this together, and my role is to support you, listen, and offer guidance as you navigate the ups and downs of college life. Building that trust allows us to explore whatever you're going through—whether it's stress, anxiety, relationships, or finding your path—with authenticity and mutual respect. When you know you can trust me, real progress and healing can happen.

Were there lessons in your professional or academic career that left an impression on you, and how has that informed your work today?

Absolutely! One of the biggest lessons I've learned, both in my academic journey and professional career, is the power of resilience—especially during those times when life feels overwhelming, like finals week or navigating major life transitions. In college, I often felt the pressure to have everything figured out, but I realized that it’s okay to not have all the answers and that seeking help is a sign of strength, not weakness. This understanding shapes how I approach therapy today. I know how tough it can be to juggle school, relationships, and personal growth all at once. That’s why I focus on creating a space where you can explore your feelings without judgment, develop coping strategies that work for you, and ultimately, build the resilience to handle whatever life throws your way. My goal is to help you not just survive college, but to thrive, finding balance and clarity amidst all the chaos.
