Work HistoryI’ve spent years helping people navigate life’s challenges, and my approach has been shaped by the experiences I’ve had working in different settings. Early in my career, I worked in community mental health, supporting individuals facing a wide range of difficulties—stress, major life transitions, and the impact of past trauma. This work reinforced how important it is to meet people where they are and tailor treatment to their unique needs. I also have experience in forensic counseling, which gave me the opportunity to work with individuals who have faced significant adversity. Through this work, I deepened my understanding of how trauma and life circumstances shape a person’s emotions, behaviors, and relationships. Over time, I developed a strong foundation in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Prolonged Exposure (PE) therapy, two highly effective approaches for managing overwhelming emotions and processing trauma. I integrate these evidence-based treatments with cognitive behavioral strategies, skill-building, and a person-centered approach—always focusing on what works best for each individual. At the heart of my work is the belief that therapy is a collaborative process. I don’t see myself as the expert on your life—you are. My role is to provide support, guidance, and practical tools to help you heal, grow, and create meaningful change.
