Get To Know Me
In what ways have your personal experiences influenced your work with your clients?
My identity as a neurodiverse, first-generation immigrant mom with anxiety led me to choose a career in therapy to support underserved populations that would relate to my experiences. Navigating neurodiversity firsthand has helped me truly understand what it’s like to feel like you're surviving in a world where everyone else got the rulebook but you. I know how exhausting it can be to mask or overcompensate, and I bring a lot of compassion and practical strategies into my work to help you find the spaces where your identity is not only accommodated, but celebrated.
My personal experience with anxiety shapes the way I communicate about panic attacks. I see anxiety as a lack of confidence in your ability to navigate a situation. I work toward helping my client develop a sense of self-efficacy through use of DBT skills to navigate life with ease.
As a mom, I get how real the overwhelm, guilt, and identity shifts can be in parenthood. I know how much we love our children and how hard it can be to take care of ourselves in the process. As a first-generation immigrant, I understand the pressure to succeed, the tension between cultures, and the unspoken weight of “being the first”—whether it’s going to therapy, setting boundaries, or simply asking for help.
All of these experiences help me connect with clients not just on a clinical level, but as someone who gets how layered and complex life can be. I believe healing happens when you feel seen, and I work to create a space where clients feel understood, not judged.
