Get To Know Me
What was your path to becoming a therapist? What inspired you to choose this profession?
My path was inspired by my own journey of self-discovery and healing. I know firsthand what it's like to reel from trauma, to be dismissed, and to feel confused or unsure of your own feelings and needs. This journey, and the fight to rebuild and reclaim my own worth, deeply informs my work and is why I care so much.
I was inspired to become a therapist when I realized my prior career in market research perfectly primed me for this profession. I spent a decade dedicated to understanding people—how they think, what they value, and how to reach them meaningfully. I was adept at creating comfortable environments, listening intently, and analyzing information without bias.
I made the decision to change career paths to apply that unique skillset to helping others heal rather than developing new products. Now, I use those skills to help clients make sense of their story, find their voice, and courageously reshape their future.
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
You won't just talk about change; you'll embark on a journey to make sense of your history and understand your patterns. This process of deeper understanding allows you to move past confusion and begin the work of self-acceptance. You will discover who you are beyond your fears and what has been projected onto you, integrating the difficult parts of your past to recognize the profound strength and value that already exists within you. This internal shift leads to practical change: building true trust in your worth, finding your authentic voice, and gaining the capacity to articulate your needs and set boundaries clearly. Ultimately, you take away the confidence, emotional regulation tools, and skills needed to live seamlessly as the whole, authentic person you are.
What is your style/approach to therapy?
I don’t believe I have all the answers. I believe you already have wisdom within you—sometimes it just takes someone asking the right questions to help you access it.
The foundation of my work is creating a relationship built on trust and safety, honoring your autonomy above all else. My approach is grounded in genuine connection, utilizing curiosity over judgment, and maintaining the principle of your pace, your choice. The therapy room is a place where you can practice having a voice, experience having your needs prioritized, and experiment with sharing limits. If something feels challenging, we don’t have to talk about it until you’re ready, or we don't have to talk about it at all.
Our process is centered on reflection, honesty, experimentation, and change. You’ll feel challenged, but it will always be rooted in understanding. Alongside this deep self-exploration, we integrate specific evidence-based tools where needed: For Low Self-Esteem, we use Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC) to build internal kindness, self-worth, and the idea that you are not alone. For OCD, we use Exposure Response Prevention (ERP) to build self-trust and gradually expose you to your fears. And for Anxiety and Depression, we use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to understand the connection between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors and work to challenge unhelpful patterns.
We’ll unpack your story, reflect honestly on your history, and set boundaries to protect your well-being.
The same compassion and kindness you show others? That belongs to you, too.

Education
University of Pennsylvania, Master of Social Work, Master's Program Experience, 2018 — I believe that to truly understand your story, we have to look at the context you live in—your culture, your community, and the systems around you. My training at the University of Pennsylvania (SP2) was grounded in this dual focus: rigorous clinical skill and deep advocacy.
Research & Global Perspective: My work has always focused on the 'in-between' spaces of identity. My graduate research explored the unique pressures of 1.5 and 2nd Generation Filipino-Americans, specifically how cultural beliefs shape our willingness to seek support. As a graduate researcher in Kolkata, India, I partnered with the Durbar Mahila Samanwaya Committee, a collective of sex workers. There, I interviewed families to identify systemic barriers to education, ultimately recommending new community models to support the children of sex workers.
Advocacy & Community Connection: I am deeply committed to creating safe, empowering spaces. As Community Action Chair for my student government, I led campus-wide initiatives to support survivors of sexual assault. Simultaneously, I worked with the District 1199C Training Fund, helping ESL students and home health aides navigate professional barriers. These experiences taught me that mental health is often tied to access, opportunity, and safety.
Clinical Foundation: During my Master's Program I began my clinical practice at The Village, where I specialized in treating complex trauma in children and adolescents. It was here that I honed the relational, strengths-based approach I use today—helping clients and caregivers not just survive their stories, but find their inner strength.
Work HistoryMy career history blends a decade of strategic insights with extensive clinical specialization in mental health, resulting in a unique, client-centered approach.
Clinical Experience (LCSW in PA & NJ)
I have diverse clinical experience working with individuals across the lifespan (adults, children, teens, and couples) in multiple settings:
- Private Practice: Providing therapy focused on life transitions, relational challenges, and breaking unhelpful patterns for individuals and couples.
- Community Behavioral Health: Treating adults struggling with complex trauma and severe and persistent mental illness (SPMI).
- Outpatient Therapy for Children & Adolescents: Utilizing non-directive play therapy to build trust, create safety, and facilitate change with young clients.
Career Foundation: Researcher & Strategist
Before becoming a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), I spent a decade in marketing strategy and research. This unique background perfectly primed me for therapy. My expertise in understanding people—how they think, what they value, and how to reach them meaningfully—translated directly into my clinical skills.
