Get To Know Me
What is your style/approach to therapy?
My approach is warm, structured, and goal-oriented. In our work together, we’ll set a clear agenda each session—balancing time for learning new skills with space to address what’s happening in your life right now. This structure helps you stay focused while still addressing what’s most relevant that week.
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and insights from neuroscience to help you understand your patterns and make lasting change. My goal is to help you see real progress within a reasonable time frame—because I know you have a full life to live outside of therapy.
Clients often tell me that our work feels both focused and supportive, and that they feel surprised at what a difference the skills we have practiced have made in their lives. Therapy with me is grounded in what matters most to you, and each session builds momentum toward calm, clarity, and confidence in daily life.
Were there lessons in your professional or academic career that left an impression on you, and how has that informed your work today?
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that meaningful change isn’t just about insight—it’s about experience. The brain rewires itself through new experiences, not just new thoughts. That understanding, grounded in neuroscience and the concept of neuroplasticity, shapes how I work every day.
In therapy, I take an active, supportive role to help clients step into those new experiences—whether that’s setting boundaries, facing fears, or slowing down when their instinct is to push harder. Each of these moments helps the brain “practice” new pathways, building confidence and resilience in real life. My role is to guide that process with structure, empathy, and encouragement so clients can truly feel and sustain their progress.
What impact did the scope and/or focus of your education have on your current work as a therapist?
My training as both a clinical psychologist and an executive has shaped how I help people navigate stress, performance pressure, and high expectations—especially in demanding work, academic, or parenting environments. I understand what it’s like to operate at a high level while feeling stretched thin or mentally exhausted.
Through this lens, my work focuses on helping clients reduce stress and overwhelm, sharpen focus, and regain clarity of thought—so they can achieve their goals with more ease and purpose. And because sleep fuels all of that, I make sure it’s part of the conversation—after all, no one makes their best decisions at 2 a.m.

Work HistoryI founded Catalyst Psychology to create a space where capable, driven people—especially women balancing a lot—can get structured, evidence-based therapy that truly helps. My work blends Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with insights from neuroscience to help clients quiet mental clutter such as worry, improve sleep and focus, and feel more calm and in control day to day.
Before starting Catalyst, I worked in hospital, primary care, and outpatient settings through Rutgers University and the VA Healthcare System, where I developed expertise in treating anxiety, ADHD, OCD and insomnia. Those experiences shaped my belief that therapy should be active, compassionate, and focused on real results.
I also bring unique experience as a former executive and an MBA graduate, which helps me support professionals dealing with stress, burnout, or major life transitions. My goal is to help clients gain clarity, strengthen resilience, and move toward a life that feels satisfying, purposeful, and sustainable.
