Get To Know Me
If you could pick one movie or book that influenced your approach to therapy, what would it be and why?
If I had to pick one, I’d say “The Body Keeps the Score” by Bessel van der Kolk has had a major influence on how I approach therapy.
That book really opened my eyes to how deeply trauma lives in the body — not just in the mind — and how important it is to create a healing process that goes beyond talk therapy. It helped shape the way I think about the whole person: their emotions, experiences, physical health, and even how they carry stress or pain in their bodies.
It also reinforced my belief that healing isn’t one-size-fits-all. Some people need to process through conversation, others through movement, mindfulness, or creative expression. The book reminded me that therapy should feel empowering, not retraumatizing, and that safety and connection are essential building blocks in the work I do.
In what ways does your personality influence your approach to therapy?
My personality plays a big role in how I show up as a therapist. I’m naturally warm, empathetic, and down-to-earth, which helps clients feel comfortable opening up to me. I believe in meeting people where they are, without judgment. I listen carefully, ask thoughtful questions, and hold space for people to be honest about what they’re going through — even when it’s messy or complicated.
I’m also very practical. I want my clients to walk away from our sessions not just feeling heard, but also with tools they can use in real life. My approach is grounded in building trust, being present, and helping people find solutions that actually work for them.
I’m big on authenticity — I don’t put on a clinical “mask.” I bring my full self into the room, and I invite clients to do the same. That kind of realness creates a strong connection, and it makes the healing process feel more collaborative and human.

Work HistoryI’m the CEO of Grace to Grace Behavioral Health LLC, where I oversee a team of professionals dedicated to helping individuals and families improve their mental health. Since launching the practice in January 2024, I’ve focused on creating a safe, welcoming space for clients while also making sure that our services meet high standards of care, professionalism, and confidentiality.
I also continue to provide therapy through Hope Behavioral Health, where I’ve worked since 2019. I work with individuals, couples, and families on a range of challenges like anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions. I take time to get to know each client, understand their story, and create a plan that fits their unique needs. My goal is always to offer support that feels respectful, effective, and grounded in real-life solutions. I also offer telehealth sessions to make care more accessible.
Before that, I spent several years supporting people through Lutheran Metropolitan Ministries. I worked with individuals experiencing homelessness, young people in tough situations, and women who were incarcerated. I helped clients navigate mental health and substance use issues, provided one-on-one support, and led group sessions. That time taught me a lot about the importance of meeting people where they are and building trust, no matter the circumstances.
Earlier in my career, I worked in home care and hospice settings, helping clients with daily activities and offering comfort at the end of life. These roles helped me develop a strong foundation in caregiving, compassion, and understanding the emotional needs of both clients and their families.
Through all of these experiences, I’ve learned how to create meaningful connections, provide thoughtful care, and advocate for those I serve. Whether in leadership or one-on-one sessions, my work has always been about helping people feel seen, heard, and supported.
