Get To Know Me
What would be important for someone to know about working with you?
Working with me is active, practical, and collaborative. I listen closely, ask direct questions, offer honest feedback, and help you connect what is happening now with the older patterns that may still be shaping your choices, relationships, and stress levels.
Clients who work best with me usually want more than support. They want to understand themselves better, set healthier boundaries, stop repeating the same painful patterns, and make changes they can actually use in daily life. Sessions are focused, human, and respectful, with room for both depth and practical problem-solving.
In what ways does your personality influence your approach to therapy?
I am direct, practical, and highly engaged in the therapy process. I do not take a distant or overly clinical approach. I listen closely, ask thoughtful questions, and offer honest feedback in a respectful way.
My work is especially helpful for people who are tired of overthinking, walking on eggshells, avoiding conflict, or feeling responsible for everyone else’s emotions. In sessions, we look at the patterns that keep showing up in your relationships, your stress, and the way you make decisions.
I aim to create a space that feels human, steady, and useful. We will work on understanding what keeps you stuck, setting clearer boundaries, and helping you make choices that better reflect what you actually need.
In what ways do your life philosophy and treatment philosophy overlap?
My life philosophy and therapy philosophy are closely connected. I believe it is very difficult to build a fulfilling life while constantly managing other people’s moods, expectations, or reactions.
Many people learn early to survive by becoming the peacekeeper, caretaker, overachiever, or the person who keeps everything together. Those roles can look responsible from the outside, but over time they often lead to anxiety, resentment, burnout, and feeling disconnected from yourself.
This is part of what led me to write my first book "Healing Childhood Trauma" and develop my own philosophy The Life Enrichment Method. My work focuses on helping clients understand the patterns they learned, recognize how those patterns still affect their relationships and decisions, and begin building a life that reflects their own needs, values, and strengths.
My approach is active, reflective, and practical. We look at the past when it helps explain the present, but the goal is to help you make real changes in how you relate to yourself, others, and your life now.

Work HistoryOver the past twelve years, I have worked in high-pressure mental health environments, including inpatient psychiatric settings, community crisis programs, and intensive outpatient care.
That work taught me how clearly old survival patterns can show up in adult life. Many people learn early to overthink, avoid conflict, monitor other people’s moods, or feel responsible for everyone around them. These habits may have helped at one point, but over time they can lead to anxiety, burnout, resentment, relationship stress, and feeling disconnected from yourself. This focus on long-standing relational patterns is part of what led me to write my first book "Healing Childhood Trauma".
I have also worked in workforce development, supporting adults through career transitions, professional stress, and major life changes. That experience helped me understand how someone can look capable and successful on the outside while privately feeling exhausted, stuck, or unsure how to keep carrying everything.
My approach is direct, practical, and human. Whether I am providing therapy, supervising others, or working with clients in English or Spanish, my focus is helping adults understand the patterns that keep them stuck, set better boundaries, manage stress, and make decisions with more confidence.
