Education
San Diego State University, Master of Arts, Master of Arts in Counseling, 2013
Work HistoryMilitary service changes you, but coming home can break you. If you're struggling with what you saw, what you did, or who you've become since leaving service. I served in the U.S. Navy and discovered my purpose helping fellow service members navigate the weight of what we carry. After earning my master's from San Diego State University and my doctorate in Social Work from USC, I focused my career on veteran mental health, PTSD treatment, and reintegration challenges. I work primarily with adults dealing with trauma, depression, and anxiety—particularly veterans and those from marginalized communities. My approach combines evidence-based methods like CBT, DBT, and motivational interviewing with culturally relevant practices. I created The Medicine Blanket Project, which integrates Western therapy with traditional healing methods to address generational trauma. I also worked as a DSPS counselor supporting students with disabilities. Whether you're dealing with combat trauma, civilian life adjustment, or depression that won't lift, I provide direct, practical support focused on what actually works. Ready to move forward?
